It has been long since I have written here !
For the moment most of my materials are still in cardboards...
We should get our things here by September 15th and then as there is much work to make our new appartment livable, we should be able to finally unpack all things at the end of October...
In the meantime, I'm mostly learning how to sew clothes to a better level as I only really know how to sew teddies or soft toys and I would like to be able to dress them (as well as dollies or humans :) ). I think it will be far better not to be stopped by a lack of knowledge, I really would like to be able to sew anything possible and it will improve my bears accessories greatly I think :).
I hope to be able to offer new bears for adoption before November but it's not sure at all.
If you would like to order me something for this Christmas, I can open a few custom orders slots for November. I will create a maximum of 5 custom bears this time.
Feel free to contact me if you would like a special Acid Attic Bear in time for Christmas !
Hugs,
Marion :)

Lionel
I'm very happy to have a new little bear to offer for adoption on ebay.
His name is Lionel and he is 6.5'':). I'm especially proud of his color, a sof and beautiful light green.
Please click here if you wish to visit his auction page. Thanks a lot for your interest !
I'm not posting much on this blog for the moment, as I'm working on a brand new Acid Attic Bears website, that will be easier to visit I hope, and better looking if I work well :).
For the moment, I'm uploading day after day my bear pictures on flickr, and if you have a look, you can even see some new bears before they are available for adoption (if not marked as "adopted", they are available".
Here is the link to my flickr page :

I really love this as it's easier for me to share my pictures as I don't have to write much (I realise that it's much more easy to "blog" in french for me as I do on a little blog about asian dollies and daylife), and it's a marvelous way to meet new people ! I now look at wonderful pictures from all over the world everyday :).
There is a bear I would like to share with you too, her name is Isadora and I'm really in love with this big girl (she is 17''), she will live in her new home soon :
More pictures of her are available here if you like :).
I must say I love bearmaking each day a little more... Even if the blogging thing doesn't show this very much :).
The blog will be included in the new website so it will be easier :).
Have a wonderful week,
lots of bear hugs,
Marion

Bunnies
Well, it seems I have passed all Winter without blogging... I didn't realise it was so long since I had made my latest post.
So here I am and I will try to write on a dayly basis now :).
Today, I'm working on a little bunny for a darling friend collector and tomorrow, I should begin to work on a new line of bears for Spring and Summertime...
That's strange to look at the old pictures of the work area in our previous home. I really have to tidy my new workroom and make pictures !
Here is a picture of a green bear I especially love who will travel to his new home tomorrow :

His name is Aimé, he is a new size bear, at 12.6'' (32 cm). He is so sweet, I will miss him !
Here is another picture before they live of Theophile and Félix :

Théophile is 11'' (28cm) and Felix a 5'' baby.
I'm especially found of little bears I create with fabric bodies like Félix, but I'm not sure they please as much as "regular" all mohair baby bears. I'll make one from time to time as I just can't help myself, they make me smile :).
I have to go and finish the little bunny :).
Have a great day,
Marion

Hello !
I'm finally married, the new home in Montigny is tidy, and I'm happy to be back at work !
If you would like to see some of our wedding pictures, just click on the following link :
http://marion.klein.free.fr/q=wedding
(sorry I don't manage to put the link, for the moment, if you can paste the link in your browser, it would be great :)... I'll find a better way to do soon !)

I will make pictures of my new work room in a few days :).
I'm working on an "aigue-marine" green-blue bear for Nina who made the plaid on this page, I will post pictures in one or two days.
For the moment, as we agreed for a less peachy one with Ann, so little Louisa is available for adoption. I will list her on ebay today, with the same adoption fees with buy-it-now as it would be on my website.
Lots of bear hugs,
Marion

Hello !
Today it's a very rainy day but a wonderful day :).
And I must share how much I'm thrilled ! I have received a marvelous wedding present today from the USA.
I'm so touched I almost cried when opening the parcel. My dearest Nina has created especially for me the most beautiful plaid I've seen, with fantastic embroideries and so lovely pastels colors. I'm just speechless.
The picture does not do this marvel justice at all, I hope I can take better ones when sun is there.
I just can't imagine all the work that went in such a treasure.
Nina, you are an angel !!!
I send you lots of sweet pastel hugs,
Marion :) :)

I've finally finished a little baby bear, still unnamed, waiting for approbation of his/her new mum.
And I've taken pictures of my workstation (by night ;) ) as it's quite the last chance before I must put all things in boxes for the moving. I put them here as I think that this "tidy" untidyness looks like me very much and might be funny to look at (poor Yann must live with it everyday as this work station is in our living-room... He really wishes I have a workroom in our future appartment :D).
Here is the right side, with my favorite cotton fabrics
And here is a close up on the little white thing, which is actually my very first bear (birth gift from my dear sister).
Here is the front part.
Here is a close up on the little shelf.
On it you can see my lucky charm, a present from a dear friend and collector.
A larger view to the left, with my big window in the dark Lille's night ;).
The left side where I put my mohairs (most are lower on the shelves).
A close up on my favorite books, an edition from the sixties of Agatha Christies' novels.
Have a great week,
bear hugs,
Marion

In fact, I'm looking anxiously for an appartment in the area of Versailles, the city of the castle. Yann is beginning his work here on July 9th ! This is going to be veeery short.
I must admit it's quite stressful, after such a long time of waiting to have to move in such little time...
I will try to finish the baby bears I'm working on before wrapping all things for the moving.
Just a little picture I like before I'm going to work :

I made these two bears for the URSA award competition, as there is a "best friends" category this year I especially wanted to enter. I'm very happy with their color. The big one's name is Loïc, and the small one little Malo.
I hope they please you !
I send you lots of quite stressed but yet warm hugs,
Marion

Hello !
First some picture of my dear so old baby "Arthur", who arrived this week-end. He is a true beauty. I would like to let him like he is now, but the filling can't stay in the arms so I will have to restore him. I have given him some boot button eyes which are a present from my favorite artist friend Diane Kennedy.
They were in Ditsy's box and as Ditsy arrived the same day as Arthur, he didn't remain blind more than a very few minutes. Now I think I will let these eyes on him, even if I think that colored ones might be more historical, as he just makes my heart melt with the antic looking black shoe buttons.Ditsy is a wedding present from Yann and is a little marvel too. I love the Wee Scones Bears to pieces.

Another teddy of another style : finally a picture of Yann in his wedding clothes :). Very elegant, isn't he ? And very different from what he looks like in his casual jeans and Tee-shirt ;).In fact, the past week has been quite exhausting as we had to fight against a fleas invasion... Penny is ok now and the appartment too. All the mohairs are safe thanks heaven, and I have even desinfect them to be really sure.
All my work place has had to be cleaned and tidy and organised so now I will be able to work all days long if all is ok :).
Have a wonderful week,
hugs,
Marion

Armand in bright light.
I have difficulties with taking pictures of my dear big Armand. After rain, the sun is now so shiny that the pictures are really burnt (this one is taken indoor).
Armand is a special order for a friend. I'm now working on an old rose girl like him (in fact, on several pink bears, from 5'' to 15'' as I have dyed several shades of rose in the same time, I really love "camaïeux" of colors). I have some blue bears to finish too... I'm quite disorganized since March in fact. We were supposed to move, and didn't, and might have to change home and city soon... But nothing sure and I must admit this slows me down a lot (and the wedding doesn't help either ;) )... I promise that as soon as we are in the new home, the bearmaking time will be normal again and that the waiting bears will all come to life !
I add here some pictures of baby Penny (ok, she isn't a baby anymore :D) that make me smile : quite unhappy, my own little Bastet and ready to jump. Now I'm going to sew a little :).

I send you lots of bear hugs, hoping May is beautiful for you too,
Marion

I have found a little bear in need of some loving care on ebay this week-end. He is 15''.
I plan to work on him as a hobby after work (yes, bear restoration after bearmaking ;) ). There isn't so much work on him, I will have to patch the arms paw pads and to redo the feet. The most difficult part in my opinion is to find the right eyes (I won't let him blind, poor wee soul).

I evaluate him as an american bear from the 1920, but my knowledge is far from perfect as far as antique bears are concerned. I pass much time on bear shops website and on ebay antique bears sections in order to see as many old bears as I can. Here are some early american bears, to compare with him :

I will do my best to do this antique bear justice. I don't think I will clean him too much as I feel that perfectly cleaned mohair has a brand new look that makes the bear loose a little of his charm. Here is a test with eyes (of course it's an hypothetical placement for the moment, I will put the eyes in the original holes when the bear will be at home) :

Of course it will be easier to judge with the bear in the fur instead of just pictures :D... It's always difficult for me to wait ;).
I'm going back to work now :).
Have a great week-end,
bear hugs,
Marion

Hi friends ! :)
Here is a little preview picture of my wedding dress that Yann has taken (yes, he HAS seen the wedding dress :D) as I have promised to show. There are pins on the the top of the dress for the moment, it will be more flat when finished of course.
I must figure out what I will do with my hair ;).
No picture of Yann for the moment because my friend and I were both running out of battery. I hope to have some in mid-June :).
